Using Acupuncture to Help Stroke & Bells Palsy Recovery

Image
Acupuncture therapy for stroke-caused conditions such as paralysis, speech and swallowing problems in commonly used in China and the Orient. Numerous studies involving thousands of patients have been published in China and Japan and 2 studies in Scandinavia. These studies indicate significant help in patients getting better quicker, performing better in self-care, and requiring less nursing and rehabilitation therapy. Please see our Dun Laoghaire Doctor Chen Pictures below. Dr Chen developed Bells Palsy and had facial acupuncture done every day by Dr Zhou, a practitioner working for Care Cure Acupuncture. After 10 days Dr Chen was fully recovered and back to work as the third picture below demonstrates. When a person has a stroke, the brain stops communicating with the body part that is affected. Recipe for Chinese Marbled Eggs

Image
Recipe for Chinese Marbled Eggs Here is an old favourite Traditional Chinese Recipe that is both Tasty and Nutritious and Can be tried at home. Ingrediants 6 Eggs 3/4 Cups soy sauce 2 Star anise 2 tsp black tea (or 2 teabags) 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon sugar 2 strips dried tangerine or mandarin orange peel (optional) Method Gently place eggs in medium pot, fill with water and bring to boil. Simmer 3 minutes. Remove eggs and let cool under running water. Using the back of the teaspoon gently tap the eggshell to crack the shell all over. The more you tap, the more intricate the design. Do this with a delicate hand to keep the shell intact. To the same pot with the boiling water, return the eggs and add in the remaining ingredients. Bring the mixture to the boil and immediately turn the heat to low. Simmer for 40 minutes, cover the lid and let eggs steep for a few hours to overnight. The longer you steep, the more flavorful and deeply marbled the tea eggs will be.

Migraine Relief With Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine

Image
Most types of head pain are classified as tension, chronic or migraine headaches. Chronic headaches occur every day whereas migraine headaches are usually one sided and moderate or severe in intensity. The sufferer of these types of headaches is more often than not confined to a darkened room for the duration of a headache which has the power to impact every aspect of their daily life. This can cause great emotional stress to the sufferer. If this is you then please don't despair - there is a natural side-effect free solution called Chinese Medicine. Chinese Medicine uses a combination of acupuncture and Herbal Medicines to decrease the number of migraine and tension headaches and recent studies have proved that it can also prevent the sufferer from having further attacks. But before an Acupuncturist decides upon a treatment, there will first be a consultation in which you will have your tongue and pulse diagnosed and be asked the following questions. Is your headache loc...

Cosmetic Acupuncture - Look Younger For Longer

Image
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a technique that we use to enrich and rejuvenate the complexion, reduce wrinkles and frown lines and improve skin tone. With the growing popularity of anti-aging beauty treatments such as Botox and cosmetic surgery which can sometimes be a dangerous procedure, it is not surprising that people are turning to the more natural method of acupuncture to help them stay looking younger for longer. Cosmetic Acupuncture works to stimulate new cellular growth by invigorating the vital life force energy Qi and encouraging more blood supply to the face. This is done by inserting small, painless disposable needles into different areas of the face. The needles that are used will not penetrate deeply, only being inserted just under the surface of the skin. Acupuncturists tend to encourage those opting for facial rejuvenation to commit themselves to at least 6 sessions although sometimes the results can show a decisive improvement after just one treatment. At t...

In our clinics the practitioner will first soak your feet in a warm herb infused water and then gently massage the areas needing attention. Stimulating these areas/reflexes encourages deep healing and tranquil relaxation in the patient's body. To explain more clearly about which glands reflexes correlate to please view the chart below: Reflexology is particularly beneficial for stress related conditions, anxiety, joint mobilization, migraine, sinus, digestion, back problems and stress related conditions as it helps discharge negativity and stimulate the body's own immune system for self healing.
