Acupuncture for Neck & Back Pain Relief Chronic pain in the muscles and joints can make life miserable. Standard anti-inflammatory treatments, physical therapy, and appropriate exercises can often ease pain but when they don't acupuncture is worth considering. Over the years there has been substantial debate about whether acupuncture really works for chronic pain. A Recent Study in the Archive of Internal Medicine says Yes it does with results from a study of nearly 18,000 participants saying that acupuncture relieved their pain by 50%. Acupuncture treats muscle pain in a variety of ways, the most direct being that when a disposable painless hair-thin needle is inserted into the skin, the body releases chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins are the body's natural painkillers and they help you feel relaxed, alert and mobile.  Releasing endorphins do more than just mask the pain. The stress relief from the endorphins, helps to relax the entire body, so tha...

Amazing Cure for Asthma - Hay Fever - Lung Disease San Fu Moxibusion   San Fu Moxibusion is an Amazingly Effective method for treating Asthma, Hay Fever, Poor Circulation and other Respiratory Diseases. The treatment is traditionally used in Chinese Medicine and involves mixing a specially chosen herbal formula into a medicinal paste which is then taped by experienced acupuncturists to points on the body called acumoxa points. The paste is applied to the body 3 times every 7-10 days. Research studies recommend that patients stick as close to the dates as possible and try to ensure that treatment is done in hot seasons like summer. It is important to have the paste taped to points mostly located on the patient's back, such as DAZHUI, FEISHU, SHENSHU. All of these points are important to improve the immune system and the theory behind them is to expel all the bad energy and dampness, which are considered as the factors which cause the asthma, hay fever, poor circ...

Pain Relief Using Acupuncture   Pain is a sensation triggered in the nervous system. It may be sharp, dull, off-and-on or steady. Localised such as back pain or all over such as muscle ache. Acupuncture is an effective treatment for a wide range of pain conditions such as arthritis, rheumatoid pain, back, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, injuries, tendonitis, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibro myolgia, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, frozen shoulder and tennis elbow.   Recent studies have shown that acupuncture causes the body to produce natural steroids and promotes the production of natural endorphins. Older woman's eggs can be more susceptible to chromosomal abnormalities which sometimes results in miscarriage. While these are not common causes, they are part of the bigger picture of miscarriage for some women. It is a good idea for you to obtain as much information as possible in order to rule out these things mentioned above. What can Traditional C...

How to Treat Allergies with Traditional Chinese Medicine

How to Treat Allergies with Traditional Chinese Medicine by Bill Schoenbart and Ellen Shefi All ergies occur when the body's immune system misidentifies a normally harmless substance as a threat to the body. Common allergens (substances that produce allergic reactions) are foods, pollen, animal dander, mold, insect venom, drugs, and dust mites. An inflammatory reaction takes place in an attempt to eject this substance from the system, resulting in a variety of symptoms. A traditional Chinese medical treatment for pollen allergies, or hay fever , follows. Causes of Allergies Several Chinese patterns of disharmony may be involved in cases of allergies. In all cases, however, wind is part of the diagnosis, usually combining with another pathogenic influence in wind dampness, wind cold, or wind heat. Typical of patterns involving wind, allergy symptoms often occur without warning. In seasonal allergies, such as hay fever, the most common diagnosis is wind and dampness. This co...
