Aid Pregnancy with Care Cure Acupuncture
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) believes that a lot of conditions associated with pregnancy arise from low stomach energy. In the Care Cure Acupuncture clinics we use a combination of acupuncture, acupressure and Chinese herbal medicine to strengthen the energetic function of the stomach meridian and correct any underlying problems.

Nausea during pregnancy is often dismissed as a minor disorder but as this condition affects one third of all pregnancies it is worth considering acupuncture, a drug free alternative that can ease symptoms and reduce the workload of the digestive system.
For breech babies, Traditional Chinese Medicine would treat between 34-36 weeks gestation with a moxa stick (a herb shaped like a cigar). The moxa stick is combined with acupuncture, lit and help over specific places to stimulate the relaxation of the womb and encourage the fetus to turn around.
Chinese Medicine also offers prebirth preparation. This usually involves a series of acupuncture treatments weekly from week 36 or 37 and prepares the Mother for labour. Small disposable needles are used to stimulate points that act to ripen the cervix, position the baby in the best position for labour and promote optimal energy and stamina for women to enter into labour.
